At the caravan

On Sunday Dan took us to the caravan for the night. We got there around 2.30 in the afternoon, Dan went out and got some burgers and stuff for the BBQ (even though it wasn't the best weather!) It started to pour down just as he finished! After we'd eaten Isy had a play and we went for a walk around the caravan site (we never realised how HUGE the site was!) Even though the weather wasn't too good the views from the caravan were still lovely. After we'd put Isy to bed we got the cards and chips out and had a game of poker (I won't say who won because it's a bit of a sore point for Dan.... It's the taking part that counts anyway!!) Today it rained ALL day. We took Isy swimming in the pool on site! She was too busy nosying at everyone else in there, i dont think she even realised she was in a pool! she did have a little splash though. We went into the local village and got fish and chips for lunch then after a long sleep we set off home! A short trip but well worth it! xxx

Feeding the duckies

We went to feed the ducks at Bridgewater Canal in Lymm. The ducks came right out of the water and stood by our feet waiting for us to drop the bread! One even bit Dan's finger! Isy wasn't fazed by it though she just enjoyed the view in comfort, all snuggled up in her buggy! xxx

Family day out - Tatton Park

On Sunday I wanted to take Isy for some fresh air and if I'm honest, show off the lovely new buggy that granddad had bought us! So, Dan decided on Tatton Park. We walked all around Tatton Mere (we took Isy's photo infront of it... dont worry the brake was on!!) then up to the shops and park area. We had burgers, although the pics dont show Dan stuffing his face I assure you, he did!! Then Dan treated me to a fresh dairy ice cream which would have been nice if Isy hadn't eaten it all!! After eating all my ice cream, she fell asleep so we walked back to the car and drove on to our next destination.... xxx

Bouncy baby Isabelle!!

This is Isabelle the first time she tried out her door bouncer! Excuse my laughing in the background I found it hillarious!! She is 4 and a half months old here xxx

Our Weekend in Snowdonia

On June 13th - 15th we went on a weekend break to Dans Aunti Di's caravan in Snowdonia. The weather was lovely so we went to Abersoch (the picture on the beach). The Jazz festival was on and it was extremely busy so we also took Isy to see our friends at the farm, they breed Jack Russell pups there and she loved them, i think they loved her too! The Sunday was fathers day (Dans 1st)so we went out for lunch with friends in a pub in caernarfon called The Newborough Arms, highly recommended if you are passing that way! All in all it was another lovely weekend at the caravan! xxx

The birth of Isabelle Marie Grant

Dan took me to Warrington hospital on Feb 29th 2008 at 3AM, I was 9 days overdue and my contractions had just started. As this was my 1st pregnancy I wanted to get to hospital as soon as possible! After being monitored for three hours the midwives sent me home with cocodamol to ease the pain as I wasnt ready to give birth. They also advised me that I wasn't even 1cm dilated! :-)

My contractions were getting stronger and stronger as the day went on and neither Dan or I could sleep, finally around midnight my waters broke and Dan took me back to the hospital. I was 4cm dilated and ready to go into labour. By 4.50AM on March 1st 2008, Isabelle Marie Grant was born to the proudest parents in the world! She had to be worked on by the baby doctor as she had swallowed meconium in the womb and wasn't breathing but, after what seemed like a lifetime, she came to life and was placed in my arms... the most beautiful thing i have ever laid eyes on! The picture is our Isy at just 10 minutes old xxx
